The V7104 utilizes H.264 hardware compression, which is the same as our popular Bronze, Gold, and Platinum DVRs. The unit has HDMI and VGA monitor outputs, which can be used simultaneously. Where the V7108 DVR differs from standard analog camera DVRs is that it uses the HD-SDI technology. Coupled with HD-SDI cameras running on coaxial cable, it can deliver crisp high-definition video up to a full 1080p resolution, but without any of the latency that you see with high definition IP cameras.
