All HAI products are UL Listed and use Generation III Universal Powerline Bus (UPB™) – a digital communications standard for lighting and home control that ensures superior reliability. UPB™ works over existing wires in a home and does not require new wiring. Simply swap out an existing switch that has a neutral and replace with a Leviton UPB smart switch. This products have a various features. HLC Like as Control all lights in a room or area. Lights may be turned on or off, dimmed, brightened, and set to four different scenes. Setting a scene is as simple as pressing the scene button the Scene Switch five times. Has Infrared Receiver for use with optional Scene Switch Remote Control. When used standalone, no software is required for you to change lighting scenes on a Scene Switch. The four scenes on a Scene Switch are easily set by first pressing the desired Scene Switch button, then setting the lights it controls to the desired levels, and then quickly pressing the same Scene Switch button five times in a row.

It is recommended that a qualified electrician perform this installation. Retain these instructions for reference. This product is for indoor use only. Connect only copper or copper clad wire to this device. Important Notes Prior To Installation Be sure that all power to the load has been disconnected by turning off the circuit breaker. Installing an HAI UPB™ 6-Button Room Controller with power on may expose you to dangerous voltage and may damage the device. HAI UPB™ 6-Button Room Controller Overview The HAI UPB™ 6-Button Room Controller (Figure 1) allows for lighting control of a room where HAI UPB™ Wall Switches have been installed. It uses the UPB™ two-way powerline communication technology to communicate with HAI controllers, UPB™ Wall Switches, and other UPB™ devices on the network. The HAI UPB™ 6-Button Room Controller has six pushbuttons labeled ON, A, B, C, D, and OFF (although these buttons may be custom engraved). Each pushbutton is slightly backlit so that the buttons can be seen in a dark room. Depending on configuration of the HAI UPB™ 6-Button Room Controller, one or more of the six pushbuttons will be distinctly illuminated, indicating the pushbutton has been pressed or a scene has been selected. Each lighting scene pushbutton (A-D) can be configured to custom fit an individual’s lifestyle and desires. UPB™ Wall Switch Dimmers are capable of storing preset light levels and fade rates to create powerful lighting scenes.
