Sharing much of the distinct image quality from the classic optic, as well as the unique brass exterior, this version has been updated for use on modern DSLRs and film SLRs and features Russian multi-coated glass to deliver a high degree of sharpness, contrast, and color saturation while maintaining the unique field curvature, vignetting, and shallow depth of field of the original lens. Aperture settings are controlled using seven different Waterhouse stops, ranging from f/2.2 to f/16, and a geared rack focusing mechanism affords precise manual focus control as close as 3.3' away.
