Video Surveillance Systems in Nebraska

Nebraska is a state in the Midwest United States. The current estimated population is 1,881,503 and the capital is Lincoln. The region was inhabited by many Native American tribes including the Omaha, Pawnee and Otoe. French and Spanish explorers began establishing settlements and trade with the tribes in the region in the 17th and 18th centuries. The region became a territory of France in the 18th century until it was temporarily handed over to Spain during the Seven Years’ War. Spanish settlers established the first European settlements in the region in 1794. The territory came under US control after the Louisiana Purchase in 1803 but major American settlement of the region did not occur until 1848 when the Gold Rush brought many people through the region on their way out west. In 1854 the Nebraska Territory was organized and 1867 Nebraska was admitted as the 37th state. Many of the Native American tribes were forced to move to reservations and their land was opened for new settlement. The population of the new state grew rapidly and many settlers established farms and cattle ranches.
