Orem is a city in Utah County, Utah. The current estimated population is 90,749. The area was settled in 1877 by members of the Latter Day Saint movement. It was originally named Sharon but was renamed Orem in 1914 after the President of the Salt Lake and Utah railroad, Walter C. Orem.
