Arizona is a state in the southwest United States. It was the last of the contiguous states to be admitted to the Union in 1912. There are three public universities in the state and 23 private universities. There are four professional sports teams in Arizona, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks and Arizona Coyotes. Golf is also an important sport to the state as there are many golf courses.
